Shiplap is so hot right now, but the manufacturers know that and the price for ONE plank of shiplap is $10.
That means you will end up paying hundreds of dollars for a single wall.
The method I have lined out in this video can make 4'x8' sections for $15 plus paint.
It's really as simple as ripping thin plywood into 8 inch strips, sanding it down, and then painting it with trim paint.
That's how easy it is to make faux shiplap! No joke.
I have done this in multiple houses now, and recently just sold a half a million dollar investment property with these types of shiplap walls - it looks exactly the same as the expensive stuff.
