Just because you make a lot of stuff yourself, doesn’t mean you have to make EVERYTHING by hand or do EVERYTHING yourself. Where is the line drawn?
I’ve recently remodeled my entire master bedroom and walk-in closet. I demolished it down to the studs and rebuilt.
While I wouldn’t say it was a mistake, it’s something I won’t do for a long time if ever again. We all need help sometimes especially those of us that want to utilize our time efficiently.
Now my wife is looking to sew up a blanket for the nursery of our first child and at this rate the baby may come before the blanket is complete. That’s just how it goes for the life of a DIYer. There are too many projects to complete with such little time.
I do not have a solution this for this. But a great tip is to be mindful of the scope of any project. I DO NOT want to limit your creativity and hustle, but putting 1 step in front of the other will keep you guided. 1 project at a time.
There were roughly a dozen project going on in my house over the past few months, and I’ve decided to focus on these and not start any new ones until they are done.
I knocked out a few of the tasks… but now I’m starting and growing a YouTube channel. Ahhh.
Here is a clip from the bathroom remodel. Tiling is definitely the one aspect I would have paid someone entirely to do, without a doubt. Never Again!
